TAMPA BAY, FL — Looking for something fun to do this weekend in the Tampa Bay area? There’s something for every interest — the Bucs Beach Bash, a Music for Maui fundraiser, an antique fair in downtown Lakeland, the 9/11 Memorial Mile and Local Heroes Award.
Bucs Beach Bash
TradeWinds Island Resorts, an official partner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, hosts the annual Bucs Beach Bash Friday through Sunday in St. Pete Beach. The weekend features free concerts on the beach, a cornhole tournament, poolside parties, a game-day watch party, the Buccaneers’ cheerleaders, pirates, an appearance by Captain Fear, a kids zone and more.

Pasco Citizen of the Year Award Ceremony
The 2023 Pasco Citizen of the Year will be honored Friday, 6 p.m., at Spartan Manor in New Port Richey. The evening will include dinner, entertainment, dancing and an auction.

The monthly Antique & Collectibles Market takes place Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., along Lakeland’s 300 block of East Main Street. There will be a variety of antiques, collectibles, vintage, retro and Mid-Century items.
9/11 Memorial Mile and Local Heroes Award
The Rotary Club of Wesley Chapel hosts its fifth annual 9/11 Memorial Mile and Local Heroes Awards, an event that honors the memory of those lost on 9/11 and recognizes the bravery and sacrifice of local heroes in our community, Saturday, 8 a.m., at Tampa Premium Outlets. At this year’s event, a new permanent display of three pieces of World Trade Center steel will be unveiled in honor of the Geidel Family and the Fire Department of New York’s Rescue 1, Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Steven Turner shot in the line of duty earlier this year and Pasco Fire Rescue firefighter Jason Tucker, who died earlier this year from line of duty brain cancer.
Rare Plant Network Plant Sale
The Rare Plant Network hosts a plant sale Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Garden Club of St. Petersburg. A variety of plants - exotic, rare, tropicals, unusual and variegated plants, ornamentals, perennials, flowering vines, trees, orchids, herbs, cuttings and more - will be available for sale.

Sarasota’s St. Armands Circle welcomes back its Exotic Cars on the Circle car show Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This free event features exotic supercars.

Music for Maui Fundraiser

Scream-A-Geddon To Unveil New Haunted Attraction This Halloween Season
Back for its ninth season, Scream-A-Geddon horror park in Dade City will haunt the public with a new attraction starting Friday, Sept. 8. “Breach,” a haunt crawling with mutated species, will be introduced as an interactive experience. Scream-A-Geddon features six attractions showcasing pyrotechnic special effects over 60 acres of old Florida forest, two of which offer interactive experiences. Scream-A-Geddon will be open to the public on select nights from Friday, Sept. 8, and Saturday, Sept. 9 from 7 p.m. to midnight through Saturday, Nov. 4.
