Certified Health and Nutrition Coach Lynda Maxey Joins MindSpa

Lynda Maxey, a certified health and nutrition coach, has joined the MindSpa Integrative Wellness Center located in Sarasota. Lynda has been working in the field of health and nutrition coaching for nearly 30 years. She started her career as a patient nutrition educator for Dr. Leonard O. Smith, a highly regarded expert in the field of holistic health and nutrition.

Lynda graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York. She owned an Organic Juice Delivery Service in Sarasota. The business evolved into a gourmet raw food business and partnership currently known as Ionie’s Raw Food Café on Fruitville Road. In addition to providing private clients with health and nutritional counseling, Lynda also does presentations on nutrition for various groups in the public and private sector.

Other clinical and spa services available at MindSpa include: biofeedback, neurofeedback, functional medicine, brain music therapy, neurobics (exercises for the brain), brain-mapping (QEEG), peak performance training, massage therapy, life coaching, sensory immersion therapy, and Nexalin treatments to relieve the underlying causes of anxiety, depression and insomnia. The center also provides two zero-gravity floatation tanks, a large room for body mind classes and a far infrared sauna which provides the benefits of sunlight without the harm of UV radiation.

MindSpa moved into its new location on Bee Ridge Road recently after operating at its prior center on Bahia Vista Street since 2004. The new MindSpa features a 14-office suite spanning 4,700 square feet. That’s twice the size of the prior center. MindSpa is one of the largest integrative wellness centers in the Sarasota Bradenton Gulf Coast region.
