Child's Death In Sarasota Under Investigation: Police
A child found unresponsive later died at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, police said.
SARASOTA, FL — The death of a child in Sarasota is under investigation after a Monday morning 911 call.
Officers responded to the call about an unresponsive child in the 2800 block of Dixie Avenue around 8 a.m., Sarasota police said in a news release.
EMS paramedics and officers worked to revive the child at the scene.

The child was then transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where they later died, according to the department.
Police said they’re not currently releasing the child’s age or gender.

The circumstances surrounding the child's death remain under investigation, the department said. No details about what led to the death have been released.
