Jefferson Fit Launches New Hybrid Conditioning Class In Sarasota

SARASOTA, FL — A growing fitness trend centered around endurance racing, hybrid conditioning and obstacle-style competitions is making its way to downtown Sarasota as Jefferson Fit launches its new Competitive Hybrid Conditioning class.
The new group fitness class officially launches Monday, May 18 and will take place Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 6 a.m.
Led by trainer Cameron Darby, the race-inspired workout program combines functional strength training with cardio conditioning through sled pushes, rowing, carries, timed intervals, endurance circuits and full-body performance training designed to improve stamina, speed, strength, and overall athletic conditioning.
The launch comes as interest continues to grow around hybrid fitness racing, endurance training, and obstacle course competitions across Florida and nationwide — including the upcoming HYROX competition weekend in nearby Tampa this October.
Many Sarasota-area fitness enthusiasts now travel throughout the year to participate in events such as Spartan Race, Tough Mudder, long-distance triathlon competitions including Ironman World Championship events, and other endurance-based fitness challenges.
Competitive Hybrid Conditioning was designed to provide members with a structured way to build endurance, strength, pacing, and recovery capacity often associated with those styles of events — while still remaining approachable for all fitness levels.
“People are looking for workouts that feel more athletic and goal-oriented,” said Jefferson Charles, owner of Jefferson Fit. “This class is designed to help members build endurance, strength, confidence, and mental toughness in a supportive environment. Some members may be training for competitions or races, while others simply want a new challenge and a stronger level of conditioning for everyday life. You don’t have to be an elite athlete to take part.”
Sarasota native Cameron Darby brings a background in biomechanics and sports performance training, with certifications through ISSA and DBC Sports Performance.
The class is designed for a wide range of fitness levels, with modifications available as needed.
The downtown Sarasota fitness and recovery facility recently opened its expanded location and offers personal training, group fitness classes, cold plunge therapy, saunas, salt and red light therapy, recovery services and wellness amenities under one roof.
As hybrid fitness racing and endurance events continue to grow nationwide, Jefferson Fit hopes the new class gives Sarasota-area members a local option for performance-focused training without having to travel outside the region.
