Feedback Sought On Sarasota’s ‘Complete Streets’ Plans For Blvd. Of Arts, 10th Street
The city of Sarasota plans to build "complete streets" on Boulevard of the Arts and 10th Street and wants public feedback on the project.

SARASOTA, FL — With plans to build “complete streets” on Sarasota’s Boulevard of the Arts and 10th Street, the city is asking the public to share their thoughts through an online survey.
A “complete street” is an age-friendly design that promotes safe travel to and from destinations for all travelers, whether they’re walking, biking, riding transit or driving their vehicle.
“A ‘complete street’ is also accessible to every person who utilizes it and provides a sense of place for the community,” the city said in a news release. “Each ‘complete street’ is unique to the community and can include different features like enhanced sidewalks, street lighting, benches, street trees and landscaping, public art and more.”

The online survey, which should take five to 10 minutes to complete, is the first of several chances for citizen input that can be incorporated into the conceptual design, the city said.
