Motorcyclist Dies After Being Thrown From Bike On I-75 Dies: FHP
A Tennessee man died after hitting the back of a van and being thrown from his motorcycle in a crash on I-75 in Sarasota County, FHP said.
SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — A motorcyclist died after being thrown from his bike during a Friday night crash on Interstate 75 in southern Sarasota County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The motorcyclist, a 24-year-old man from Knoxville, Tennessee, was heading north on I-75, near mile marker 172, when he hit the back of a van just before midnight.
After being thrown from his motorcycle, he landed in the center lane. He was pronounced dead at the scene, FHP said.

The van’s driver and passenger — a 53-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy, both of St. Cloud, Florida, respectively — were uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation.
