Taco Bell Robbed at Gunpoint
The incident happened on Lockwood Ridge Road Monday morning.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery of a Taco Bell location that occurred Monday morning.
According to the agency, the 8405 Lockwood Ridge Road eatery was robbed just before 11 a.m. Witnesses told deputies a man walked into the store, proceeded to the counter, showed off a firearm and demanded cash. The man took money from the register and also demanded what cash three employees had on them.
After getting money from the register and one of the employee’s wallets, the suspect left in what is believed to be an older model dark blue Volvo, possibly a convertible. No injuries have been reported in the robbery.

The suspect is described as being a white male in his 20s. He has short blond hair and was last seen wearing a long sleeve blue Echo Unlimited shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
The Taco Bell armed robbery is the second armed restaurant robbery reported in the Sarasota and Bradenton areas Monday morning. Around 8 a.m., the Wendy’s at 6600 State Road 64 E. in Bradenton was also robbed. The suspect descriptions in the two cases do not match.
