• The Underline's newest section opens, with kids' play forest from Nikki Spoelstra (miamiherald.com) — A new 1.17‑mile stretch of The Underline now links Dadeland to South Miami, with festivities centered by South Miami City Hall and a nature‑focused Nikki Spoelstra Play Forest for kids. Residents can already enjoy the trail's butterfly garden, micro‑forest, birdhouse village, and a new connection to South Miami Hospital's meditation garden as the full 10‑mile project nears completion.
