15-Year-Old, 12-Year-Old Arrested After Loaded Gun Brought To Tampa School: Reports
A teen was found with a loaded gun at a Tampa school the day after an off-campus fight in which a 12-year-old brandished a flare gun.
TAMPA, FL — Two juveniles were arrested after a loaded gun was brought to a Tampa high school on Tuesday, reports said.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested just after noon that day at Robinson High School after the school resource officer received a tip that he had the gun on campus, Tampa police said in a news release.
Though police have named the student, it’s Patch policy not to name minors accused of crimes unless they’re charged as an adult. It’s not known whether the boy was charged as a juvenile or an adult.

After searching the student, officers found the gun in his possession.
He didn’t make any threats against the school, staff or other students, police said.

He was charged with possession of a firearm on school property and minor in possession of a firearm.
A 12-year-old boy was later arrested in connection with the investigation, reports said.
The boy is believed to have been involved in a fight that took place off campus on Monday, WFLA reported. He allegedly pointed a flare gun at the 15-year-old and other victims during the fight, threatening to shoot them.
The 12-year-old was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, WTSP reported.
