1st Tampa Bay Profile Weight-Loss Clinic To Open In Westshore

TAMPA, FL -- Profile by Sanford, the comprehensive lifestyle change service developed by Sanford Health, is opening on Wednesday, Dec. 26, at 128 S. Westshore Blvd., Suite C, in the Westshore area.

This marks Profile’s first location in the bay area. To celebrate, Profile is offering a year-long membership for $50 to the first 150 members through Dec. 31.

Through its physician-backed model, Profile is changing the way people approach weight loss. Each member receives a personalized nutrition, activity and lifestyle coaching program designed to help members lose weight and keep it off. Setting the program apart from other diet plans, Profile provides its members with genetic testing, which analyzes how their bodies metabolize carbohydrates, and also matches each member with a Certified Profile Coach to help guide their weight loss journey.

Tampa franchise partner Betsy Shafer is a 20-year veteran of debt investment banking, having spent the last 15 years with Raymond James and Associates based in St. Petersburg. The driving force behind the decision to bring Profile to Tampa was Shafer’s desire to invest in something she was passionate about that could have a positive impact on others. Along with her husband and business partner Rick, Shafer plans to open three Profile by Sanford locations and is excited to continue Profile’s expansion throughout Tampa Bay.

A grand opening for the Westshore location will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Dana Medlin is the Profile operations manager and leader of the Westshore location. Medlin is an accomplished speaker, published author, successful entrepreneur, corporate management professional and a certified wellness coach.
