5 Seconds of Summer Tampa: Things To Know
The band takes the stage in Tampa Saturday.

Fans clamoring to hear 5 Seconds of Summer live don’t have much longer to wait.
The band’s Tampa performance is set for Saturday at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4802 U.S. 301 N.
Here are some things those going to the show – or dropping off teens at the venue – need to know.

The Schedule
The doors open at 6 p.m. for concert goers. Hey Violet hits the stage at 7:30 p.m. The main attraction, 5 Seconds of Summer, goes on stage at 8:30 p.m. The concert is expected to wrap up by 10.
Where to Drop Off
Parents who do not intend to watch the show with their kids may drop them off and pick them up at the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard entrance to the fairgrounds. Parents are asked to not drop off kids before 1 p.m. and to be back at the entrance by 10 p.m. for pick-ups.

Parking
The parking lots open at 4 p.m. The cost for parking is included in the price of tickets, except for those who pay the extra $30 for a Premier Parking pass. Pass holders are asked to enter through the Orient Road gate.
Tailgating
This is allowed, but there are some rules to follow:
- No alcoholic beverages – The venue reminds that public drinking and intoxication are illegal in Florida and so is underage drinking.
- No glass bottles
- No golf carts
- Tailgating areas should be cleaned up
- Tailgating ends 30 minutes before performance times
What Patrons May Bring and Not Bring With Them
The venue allows low-profile, beach-style lawn chairs, snack-style foods in clear Ziploc baggies, soft-sided collapsible coolers no larger than six-pack size, one commercially sealed bottle of water, small umbrellas and blankets.
Cans, glass bottles, large coolers, illegal drugs, alcohol, weapons of any kind, wallet chains, chains, fireworks, glow wands, laser pointers and signs bigger than 8 ½ by 11 inches are not allowed. Frisbees are also banned.
Bags are, of course, subject to a search policy.
