TAMPA, FL — A Tallahassee-based coffee chain is moving into the Tampa Bay-area, reports said.

The chain currently has 17 locations - 13 in Florida (including six in Jacksonville), two in Georgia and two in Texas, according to its website.

The coffee company’s website also has three listed as coming soon in Florida, in Windermere, Jacksonville and Panama City.

A Lucky Goat location is also planned for the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour shopping plaza, anchored by Costco and Target, in Bradenton, the Tampa Bay Times recently reported.

The brand got its start in Tallahassee in 2010, initially focused on providing wholesale roasted beans to local cafes. Eventually, it expanded its warehouse, offered online sales to people brewing coffee at home and opened its storefront. Today, they have coffee shops across the Southeast with plans for growth.
