Detectives say the suspect handed a teller a note demanding money, was found nearby, and later admitted to the crime, adding a new robbery charge to his long history of similar convictions.

Delta pilots reported that the A321 nosewheel ran over a baby opossum during takeoff from Tampa (airlive.net) โ An early-morning Delta flight departing Tampa International Airport reportedly ran over a baby opossum with its nosewheel during takeoff, but continued safely to Atlanta without delays or damage. While unusual wildlife encounters do happen at major airports, officials say this minor incident did not affect operations or passenger safety for Tampa travelers.

ReEmployAbility Named Courage Sponsor of The Spring of Tampa Bay's 36th Annual Gift of Peace Lunch (workerscompensation.com) โ A major domestic-violence fundraiser is coming to Armature Works in Tampa on October 14, with Brandon-based ReEmployAbility stepping up as a Courage Sponsor. The Spring of Tampa Bay's Gift of Peace Lunch will gather local business and community leaders to support shelter, advocacy, and long-term services for survivors across Tampa Bay. Residents can also learn about volunteering or donating online.
