'Cold' Front Moving Through the Bay
More storms are possible as the system moves through, but comfortable weather should follow.

Tampa Bay area residents hoping for a break from the heat are likely to get it in the coming days, but they may have to endure a few showers first.
The National Weather Service says there’s a 40 percent chance of showers in most parts of the region Wednesday with a high only in the lower 80s anticipated. Overnight lows should fall to about 70.
Those showers, should they arrive, could produce some strong to severe thunderstorms over the region. Forecasters warn that strong gusty winds, locally heavy rainfall and hail are all possible, along with dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters are being warned that rough seas are also possible through Thursday.

While storms may arise, forecasters also say a trailing cold front moving south through the region Wednesday is anticipated to bring temperatures down rather nicely. The highs on Thursday and Friday are expected to only climb into the upper 70s with lows in the low 60s. Sunshine is in the forecast for the rest of the workweek with a mild weekend anticipated, as well.
