Cops Make 5-Year-Old's Birthday Wish Come True

The Tampa Police officers pitched in to help when the child's present was stolen.

Getting a personal set of “wheels” for a fifth birthday is a pretty big deal for a little boy.

Having those wheels stolen is an even bigger deal, especially if the cost to replace the present is just too much for family to endure at the moment.

Unfortunately, that story unfolded recently in Tampa following an auto burglary. When Tampa Police officers learned one of the items stolen during the crime was a little guy’s brand new Green Machine, they couldn’t resist stepping into help. A group of five officers pitched in their own cash to replace the boy’s present.

The officers gave the boy his shiny new Green Machine over the weekend. While police didn’t share the boy’s name, they did get him to pose for a shot with his new ride.
