When Does Daylight Saving Time End in Tampa Bay?
It's almost time to fall back an hour.

The days are getting shorter and the temperature just a little bit cooler in the Tampa Bay area. That means, of course, it’s almost time to turn those clocks back an hour.
Daylight saving time officially ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1. That means you’ll want to turn your clocks back before you turn in on Halloween night, Saturday, Oct. 31.
Daylight saving time is the practice of setting the clocks forward one hour from Standard Time during the summer months, and back again in the fall, in order to make better use of natural daylight.

The good news for the early risers is that sunrise will be about an hour earlier and there will be more light in the mornings, but it also means sunset will arrive earlier in the evenings.
The daylight will dwindle over the next two months as we head into winter.

Local fire officials also remind that Daylight Saving Time’s end is the perfect time to change out smoke detector batteries and inspect the devices to make sure they’re in proper working order.
