Deceased USF Student, The Suspect In A Tampa Double Stabbing, Identified: Sheriff
The USF student found dead hours after a double stabbing he's suspected of committing was identified by the Hillsborough County sheriff.
TAMPA, FL — Investigators have identified the suspect in a Wednesday morning double stabbing in Tampa, who was later found dead, as 21-year-old Hansel Pearson, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Pearson and one of the stabbing victims were roommates at an apartment complex on North 46th Street.
Details surrounding Pearson’s death weren’t released by HCSO.

Two of the three people involved in the investigations are University of South Florida students, the agency said.
The Wednesday stabbing at the North 46th Street apartment was reported around 4:30 a.m. A man called 911to say that he and another person had been stabbed.

Both victims were in stable condition when deputies arrived, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office said in an update at 3:45 p.m. that day that it was also conducting a separate death investigation at Union on Fletcher, an apartment complex at 3600 East Fletcher Ave.
Detectives believe Pearson, who was found dead on Wednesday afternoon, is the stabbing suspect.
