Picnic in the Park at the Henry B. Plant Museum

The grounds of the Henry B. Plant Museum turn into a fun outdoor party with Victorian games such as dominoes, horseshoes, badminton, and tiddlywinks, plus live entertainment from the Tampa Community Band, Flamenco dancers, the University of Tampa Band Wind Ensemble and more.

Bring your own picnic basket, or purchase a table or boxed lunch for $10. (The boxed lunch includes fried chicken, pasta salad, grapes, chips, pickles, pound cake and water. E-mail your reservation for tables or a lunch by March 8 to the address below.)

In addition, picnickers can enjoy complimentary Blue Bell Ice Cream, $1 museum admission, boat rides on the river for $6 per person, and a live theater performance in the Bamboo Garden at 2pm of Teddy Roosevelt, former lieutenant colonel of the Rough Riders circa 1900.
