Lightning Watch Party Comes to Downtown

The Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa's Downtown On Ice will host a watch party for the team's road game against the New York Rangers at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park Thursday, Dec. 8.

The Tampa Bay Lightning has teamed up with to host a watch party for the team’s road game against John Tortorella, Brad Richards and the New York Rangers at , 600 N Ashley Dr., at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8.

All fans are encouraged to arrive early to the park to enjoy a number of pre-game activities including inflatable games, live music, arts and crafts, face painting and more. There will also be a chance to win great raffle prizes and the opportunity for all to meet Thunderbug and the Lightning Girls.

In addition to providing the excitement of Lightning hockey and fun for all fans to enjoy, the watch party will also feature a special incentive for 2011-12 Lightning Season Ticket Members.

Beginning at 5 p.m., Season Ticket Members can take advantage of an exclusive pre-party which includes a special personalized greeting from Lightning players, as well as a complimentary skate with Bolts alumnus and 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Dave Andreychuk.

The first 300 Season Ticket Members in attendance wearing their official jerseys will also receive a free food voucher to be used throughout the evening. Proof of membership will be required for participation.
