
The Lightning Watch Party set for Wednesday at Curtis Hixon Park has been canceled due to heavy rain.
“Due to inclement weather and safety concerns for our fans, the Tampa Bay Lightning have canceled the Stanley Cup Game 4 watch party at Curtis Hixon Park,” Lightning president Steve Griggs said in a media release. “This decision is being made now to allow our fans time to make alternate plans to watch and root on our team. Thank you and Go Bolts!”
Wednesday’s game against the Blackhawks in Chicago was intended to be broadcast on two 9-foot-by16-foot LED screens. The ThunderBug and Lightning Girls were also expected to addend.

The Lightning return home for game five in the series Saturday, June 13. Game time Wednesday and Saturday is set for 8 p.m.
It is unclear at this time if a watch party will be scheduled for game six should the series continue that long.
