Missing Woman Found Dead In Tampa McDonald's Parking Lot: Sheriff

TAMPA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a woman who was reported missing after she was found unresponsive in a vehicle Sunday morning at a McDonald's on East Fletcher Avenue in Tampa.

Deputies received a 911 call from the restaurant’s manager around 7 a.m. about an unresponsive person inside the vehicle, a black Volkswagen Tiguan parked on the north side of the property, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Investigators found a woman dead inside the SUV who they identified as Erica Giordano, 36, the agency said.

Giordano was last seen by her family on Thursday.

A preliminary examination revealed no obvious signs of trauma or injury.

No additional details were provided about the circumstances surrounding her death.
