1. 1,000+ Child Porn Files Found On Man's Device: Hillsborough Sheriff (patch.com) — Residents in northern Hillsborough County are learning that a 61-year-old Lutz man was arrested after deputies say they found more than 1,000 files of child sexual abuse material on his device. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Internet Predators Unit traced online uploads to his Lutz home, seized the device during a SWAT-assisted search, and charged him with multiple child exploitation-related offenses.
   

2. Tampa, Hillsborough put boots on the ground fighting dengue fever (wfla.com) — City of Tampa and Hillsborough County officials are urging residents to regularly dump standing water around their homes to help stop dengue-carrying mosquitoes, as local human cases approach 100. Code enforcement officers are actively inspecting properties, educating owners, and even treating yards for free when infections are reported, stressing that everyday habits in Tampa neighborhoods can either fuel or break the virus cycle.
   

3. Florida Man Wins Over $1.1 Million Jackpot At Hard Rock Hotel & Casino In Tampa (tampafp.com) — A St. Johns County visitor recently hit a $1.1 million jackpot playing a Dragon Link slot machine at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, marking the property's second million-dollar win this month. The casino, touted as the "Luckiest Casino in the U.S.," highlights its large gaming floor, thousands of slots, and table games that draw players from across Florida to Tampa.
   

4. Study will determine if warmer waters are stressing seagrass in Old Tampa Bay (baynews9.com) — Researchers with the Tampa Bay Estuary Program are running a five-year study in Old Tampa Bay to see whether increasingly warm, shallow waters are stressing vital seagrass meadows. 5. Aptamus signs MOU with Demeter Energy to develop CO2 liquefaction marine terminal (biofuelsdigest.com) — A Tampa-based carbon solutions company has signed an agreement to design a CO2 liquefaction and shipping terminal tied to a proposed biomethanol plant in Manatee County. The project would capture industrial CO2, convert it to liquid at Seaport Manatee, and ship it to Texas or Louisiana for underground storage or industrial use, positioning Tampa's firm in Florida's emerging carbon management sector.
