The storm system that will move into the region Wednesday and Thursday has the potential to bring thunderstorms with it, the weather service’s Hazardous Weather Outlook report said Monday.
“A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible, including the potential for damaging wind gusts and tornadoes,” the report noted. “Both the timing and strength of this system will continue to be refined in subsequent forecasts.”
While stormy weather will likely darken the mid part of the week, forecasters anticipate a sunny Friday with a high in the low 60s. Mild, but chilly weather is expected for the weekend, as well.
