Rays Watch Party is Friday in Cotanchobee Park

The Tampa Bay History Center will set up a 16-foot outdoor screen, and Raymond will make an appearance.

Watch the Tampa Bay Rays battle the Kansas City Royals on a giant screen when the Tampa Bay History Center hosts a Rays Watch Party on Friday night, July 22, in Cotanchobee Park.

The History Center will set up a 16-foot screen in the five-acre park, which is located in front of the center. Rays activities and giveaways will be held throughout the evening, and mascot Raymond will make an appearance. The first pitch is scheduled for 8:10 p.m.

The watch party – scheduled for 5 to 10 p.m. – coincides with the center’s Sports in Tampa Bay exhibit, which features the Rays’ 2008 ALCS Trophy, as well as Buccaneers and Lightning memorabilia. Take in the exhibit before heading out to the park for the pre- and post-game shows featuring Rich Herrera, the voice of the Rays.
