Rocky Point Golf Course Set to Reopen

The course has undergone $700,000 in renovations over the last seven months.

Golfers itching to check out the upgrades as the Rocky Point Golf Course don’t have to wait much longer.

The city of Tampa and the Tampa Sports Authority have announced all 18 holes of the par 71, 6,315-yard course will open for business Friday, Dec. 4. The course is owned by the city and managed by the Tampa Sports Authority.

The course has been closed for a seven-month, $700,000 renovation project. Golfers will find all new TifEagle greens, new greenside and fairway bunkers, tee boxes and other upgrades on the course.

“We are extremely proud of this complete makeover of Rocky Point and the difference it will make for every golfer’s experience,” said Kennie Sims, TSA’s vice president of golf operations, said, “These renovations combined with our driving range and clubhouse facilities make Rocky Point a desirable destination for golfers of all levels.”

To celebrate the course’s grand re-opening, TSA is offering a few incentives for its traditional membership programs. Anyone who signs up for Annual Tradition Membership will receive one month free. That adds up to 13 months for the price of 12. In addition, those who buy the annual TSA Discount Card will also get 13 months instead of 12.
