Roosevelt Rowing Regatta Is Saturday
Roosevelt Rowing Regatta will take place in Plant Park at the University of Tampa on Saturday, Jan. 7.

Wear your fashionable outdoor attire and watch Ivy League schools compete in the oldest intercollegiate sporting event, rowing races, on the Hillsborough River this Saturday, Jan. 7.
is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Plant Park at the, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd.
The event will feature an opening ceremony with Mayor Bob Buckhorn at 10.30 a.m., with the first race at 11.30 a.m. and the last one at 3.15 p.m. The awards ceremony will be at 4 p.m. and the Lisa Casalino Jazz Quartet will perform between races.

Various levels of tickets with access to cash bar and live entertainment areas are available as follows:
- Kids' Keelson Corner: boxed lunch for children ages 12 and younger ($20).
- Portside Picnic: boxed picnic lunch by Malio's Prime Steakhouse with a blanket to use anywhere in the open areas of the park ($35).
- Bowside Brunch Stations: hot and cold brunch stations by Amore To Go with hors d'oeuvres and some seating and standing tables ($65).
- Stewards' Seated Brunch: hot brunch buffet by Amore To Go with reserved seating at tables with china, linens, glassware, silverware and an open bar ($120).
No outside picnic fare may be brought into the park. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 8.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Stewards Foundation, which uses rowing to teach young people teamwork and responsibility.
