Sea Glass Tavern Offers Range Of From-Scratch Recipes
The new restaurant in Citrus Park features elevated-but-cozy, tavern-style American classics, including seafood, chicken, pasta and more.

CITRUS PARK, FL — Tampa Bay Food Tours has a new favorite restaurant close to home in the Citrus Park area. Seaglass Tavern opened in October and we have thoroughly enjoyed our three visits.
Without the deserved fanfare, I will share the meals we enjoyed. The SeaGlass Tavern website has images of all the menu items if you are hungry for more. Much of the pre-opening hype focused on the aesthetics, which are nice but I'm here for the food.

On our two lunch visits,we tried some house specialties and some basics. All were excellent.

They have some interesting plates/charcuterie and seafood platters to share that we look forward to on our next visit.

The seafood pasta was my favorite dish. It is full of fresh delicious seafood with pasta with just the right bite. It contains shrimp, scallops, calamari, mussels and clams, tossed in a homemade spinach de fettuccini and creamy roasted poblano pepper sauce

The Bourbon Short Ribs dish was elevated rustic with fork-tender meat, another clear favorite.

Seaglass Tavern is located at 11935 Sheldon Road and is open for lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends. It is nice to see a new independent restaurant on that stretch of road.
"We are thrilled to bring Seaglass Tavern to Citrus Park and the greater Tampa community," said owner Claudia Johnson. "We’ve been serving local customers for years at Grand Hacienda, but this is an exciting departure and new concept for us. The Seaglass menu is filled with a mix of delicious dishes, from your favorite comfort foods to heightened specialties.”
