17-Year-Old Turns Himself In On 2nd-Degree Murder Charge

Kanye Vasnon​ Mordica, 17, turned himself in at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office after an alert was issued for his arrest.

TAMPA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a teenager in connection with the fatal shooting of another teen last week.

Around 8:30 p.m. Feb. 17, deputies found a teenager dead from a gunshot wound outside a duplex at the intersection of East 124th Avenue and North 9th Street in the University of South Florida area.

Kanye Vasnon Mordica, 17, turned himself in at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office after an alert was issued notifying the public of a warrant for his arrest.
