‘Super Speeder’ Caught Going 140 MPH On I-4: FL Troopers
A Plant City man was arrested under FL's "super speeder" law for going more than 140 mph on Interstate 4, troopers said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A “super speeder” was arrested after being caught going more than 140 mph on Interstate 4 early Wednesday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
Alfred Escobar Hernandez, 28, of Plant City was charged with operating a vehicle while exceeding the speed limit by 50 or more mph, according to his arrest report by FHP.
Trooper Morales was conducting speed enforcement on I-4 when he saw an Infiniti G37x sedan going more than 100 mph on the highway, FHP said.

The Infiniti’s driver, later identified as Escobar Hernandez, “was driving aggressively in traffic,” troopers said.
He reached a peak speed in excess of 140 mph in the posted 70 mph zone.

Morales, in an unmarked Ford Mustang patrol vehicle, was able to easily overtake and stop the Infiniti.
Escobar Hernandez was arrested under Florida’s “super speeder” law.
