Off-Duty FL Deputy Accused Of Driving Under The Influence In Crash
An off-duty corrections deputy was arrested for a DUI after a crash in Parrish, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.
PARRISH, FL — An off-duty corrections deputy with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office was accused of driving under the influence after crashing a vehicle in Parrish on Sunday night, authorities said.
Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 2900 block of Fort Hamer Road just after 11 p.m. when emergency medical services asked for assistance with a suspected intoxicated driver, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
After arriving at the scene, they identified the driver as off-duty corrections deputy Luciano Centofanti, 30.

He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, MCSO said.
There were no injuries in the crash.

Centofanti resigned from his position in lieu of termination. He was hired as a corrections deputy with the sheriff’s office in January 2019.
