Tampa’s Wright’s Gourmet House Adding 2 New Sandwich Shops

Wright's Gourmet House, which opened in Tampa in 1963, is opening two new sandwich shops, one in Hillsborough County, the other in Pasco.

TAMPA, FL — Wright’s Gourmet House, a longtime deli, bakery and caterer in Tampa, is expanding with two new locations in Hillsborough County.

The company will open new cafes in Brandon at 328 Brandon Town Center Drive and in Wiregrass Ranch, between Culver’s and Cooper’s Hawk on State Road 56, in Wesley Chapel, according to a news release from TSCG, the retail real estate firm that represented Wright’s in securing both new locations.

Each sandwich shop will be about 15,000 square feet and will introduce a new hub-style prototype featuring Wright’s signature cafe with expanded amenities, including a catering facility, espresso bar, gourmet market, and additional grab-and-go offerings, TSCG said.

The Brandon location is expected to open in summer 2027, while the Wesley Chapel cafe should open in 2028, the Tampa Bay Business Journal reported.

The expansion follows Caspers Company’s acquisition of Wright’s Gourmet House in 2024. The company has invested in modernizing how the eatery operates, while preserving its recipes and customer experience.

Wright’s first opened in 1963. Its South Tampa location is at 1200 S. Dale Mabry Hwy.

Earlier this. year, Wright's opened a cafe at Tampa General Hospital.
