TAMPA, FL - With housing affordability a central goal of Mayor Jane Castor and the Tampa City Council, the city of Tampa has created a new team dedicated to helping people connect with critical housing services and resources.

"Our mission is to continue to address our housing affordability challenges from multiple approaches," said Castor. "The Tenant Services Team will be another useful resource that will enhance the customer experience and further support our residents during this difficult time."
Additionally, a $75,000 pilot program will be implemented, at least through the end of the year, to help those residents who need legal advice or representation in dealing with housing-related issues.
Tampa has entered an agreement with Bay Area Legal Services that will allow the city to refer cases that require legal assistance.
