Spookfest

Pinellas Arts Village will host Spookfest during the fourth Saturday Art Walk Saturday, Oct. 26 from 4 to 10 p.m. at 5663 Park Blvd., Pinellas Park.

It will include the Pompei Monster Factory Terror Tent Ride from 7 to 10:30 p.m., the Pompei Monster Factory Gallery and ghost-themed art show from 4 to 9 p.m., new works by studio artists at Studios at 5663 from 4 to 9 p.m., the COVAWeen 3 art show at the COVE from 4 to 10 p.m., works by Classical Christian School for the Arts students at the Complete Sweet Shoppe, goody bags for the kids from 4 to 8 p.m. at 4 Bottles Pub, an art exhibit, demonstrations and face painting from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Pinellas Park Art Society Gallery, a kids costume contest for 13 and under at 7:30 p.m. at Studios at 5663, a pet costume contest at 8 p.m. at Studios 5663, arts and crafts vendors and live music by Devious, DJ Jadget Gam and Steve Goodusky.

Stadium Of Screams And Fall Festival

The Stadium of Screams and Fall Festival will open Friday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. with an adult-oriented scare zone featuring some of Hollywood’s most horrific creations at Al Lang Stadium, 230 1st St. S.E., St. Petersburg.

Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy spooky signature cocktails served up by the Tipsy Trotter, music by DJ5DayForecast and favorite beer in the beer garden. General admission includes a haunted house, cornhole, trashcan beer pong and a silent auction.

There will be a kid-friendly event at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 with Halloween family classic movies on the field, face painting, a pumpkin patch, Pete the Pelican and soccer drills.

The events benefit the St. Petersburg Free Clinic and the Tampa Bay Rowdies Soccer Fund. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for kids and free for 2 and younger free.

Freakers Ball

Skipper's Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road, Tampa, will host the “Malice in Skipperland”-themed Freakers Ball with a costume contest for cash and prizes Friday, Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. Entry is $10.

Hartley's Haunted House

Palm Harbor Museum, 2043 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor, will host Hartley's Haunted House Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25 and 26 from 5 to 9 p.m.

This Halloween, the Hartley family who built the house more than 100 years ago, are coming back, and they can’t wait to meet you. The museum is opening its house, upstairs and down, for visitors to have ghostly encounters.

Spooky Tails

Parwick Kennels, 22129 Carson Drive, Land O' Lakes, will host the 13th annual Spooky Tails to benefit Pasco County's retired sheriff's K9s Saturday, Oct. 26 from noon to 4 p.m.

There will be a pet costume contest at 1:30 p.m., trunk-or-treating, a haunted house, food, music and games. The cost is $5 per car.

Halloween In The City

Downtown After Dark: Halloween in the City will take place Sunday, Oct. 27 at 10 p.m., starting at Pokey's, 100 E. Madison St., Tampa.

This massive Halloween party at four different venues will include DJs, drink specials and costume contests. Click here for tickets.

Thrill The Burg

Witness the simultaneous worldwide attempt to break a world record for the Thriller dance during Thrill the Burg at Ferg’s Sports Bar & Grill, 1320 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. Dress up and enter the costume contest, which includes dogs. The dance starts at 6 p.m. followed by a performance from the Black Honkeys.

An Eerie Evening

Visitors may catch a glimpse of spirits when the Henry B. Plant Museum at 401 W. Kennedy Blvd. hosts An Eerie Evening at the Tampa Bay Hotel Oct. 25-26 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Those attending will explore the museum by lantern and candlelight, hear true creepy tales of poisonings and unexplained deaths, learn about Victorian mourning and funerals customs, and create haunting images with spirit photography.

There will be light refreshments on the veranda, a close look at macabre items from Dysfunctional Grace Art Co. and an opportunity to shop in the Museum Store.

Halloween In The Village

Halloween in the Village, the annual Halloween party in the Davis Islands Business Village, 304 E. Davis Blvd., Tampa, will take place Saturday, Oct. 26, starting at 11 a.m. with trick-or-treating, costume contests, Silly Sam’s Halloween Show, face painting, a photo booth, a haunted alley, games, crafts and an after-party.

St. Andrew's Fall Craft Fair

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 3315 Bryan Road, Brandon, will hold its 52nd annual Fall Craft Fair on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy more than 75 outside vendors displaying unique, handmade crafts along with a bake sale, Granny's Attic rummage sale and the Mission Cafe in the Family Life Center. Halloween Light Show

Sylvan Ramble Lights will display thousands of lights dancing to Halloween tunes along with spooky effects including fog, strobes and interactive props daily through Halloween at 4412 W. Sylvan Ramble St., Tampa. Donations benefit Clothes to Kids. Click here for times.

Halloween Spree

Little ghouls and goblins can enjoy safe, indoor trick-or-treating, spooky experiments, creepy crafts and costume parades for the Halloween Spree on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Glazer Children’s Museum, 110 W. Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa.

There will also be a Sensory-Friendly Halloween Spree on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The cost is $5 and free for members.

Hillsborough County Fair

The Greater Hillsborough County Fair continues this weekend with a midway, free entertainment, competitions, food and games. The fairgrounds are at 214 Sydney-Washer Road, Dover.

Hours are 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students and $4 for seniors.

Mask-erade

Dress up as your favorite artist or work of art, or make a mask or hat at the creative station during the Mask-erade Friday, Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Imagine Museum, 1901 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. Enjoy music from the Scott Blum Jazz Trio and refreshments. The cost is $15, or free for members.

Stride For Strays

On Sunday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., pet lovers will gather at Al Lopez Park for the 2019 Stride for Strays Annual Dog Walk and Fundraiser to benefit the Animal Coalition of Tampa. The family- and pet-friendly event will include entertainment, contests, prizes and vendors. Registration is required for the dog walk.

Bloomingdale Fall Fest

The Bloomingdale Homeowners Association will host its annual Fall Fest Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bloomingdale High School Stadium, 1700 E. Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico.

More than 75 sponsors and vendors will take part in Bloomingdale’s largest signature event attended by more than 3,000 people. The first 300 families will receive a complimentary goody bag. There will be trick-or-treating, kids and pets costume contests, bounce houses, an obstacle course, craft stations, games, a bake sale, food trucks, entertainment by the Bloomingdale High School Drum Line, Dancing for Joy, Captain Martial Arts and DJ Rick Mondelli of Rhythm Makers and an art exhibition of works from Bloomingdale High and Burns Middle School students.

Trick Or Treat Street

The 31st annual Trick or Treat Street will take place Saturday, Oct. 26 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Riverview High School, 11311 Boyette Road.

Trick or Treat Street is presented by the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation and Riverview High School to create a safe place for children of all ages to share in the tradition of trick-or-treating while meeting local businesses, churches and other local organizations. Thousands of residents flock to get candy, play games, enjoy bounce houses, eat food and win prizes.

Businesses will host decorated booths and distribute toys and candy to kids. Some activities and food are available for a nominal cost. Parking is $5. For information, click here.

Halloween Bash

Get dancing at Circles Waterfront Restaurant, 1212 Apollo Beach Blvd., Apollo Beach, to the Monster Mash with music by DJ Danny Vargas “DJD2," drink specials and a costume contest for cash prizes during the Circles Halloween Bash on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m.

Tampa Riverwalk Trick Or Treat

The fourth annual Tampa Riverwalk Trick or Treat event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. along the Tampa Riverwalk including Curtis Hixon Park and Water Works Park. This is a free community event in which children in costume and their families can trick or treat along the Riverwalk at more than 50 candy/treat stations. There will be complimentary trick or treat bags while supplies last.

At the conclusion of the event at 7 p.m., the free Movie in the Park at Water Works Park will show "Tim Burton's Corpse Bride."

Woofstock Wag O Ween

Dress up your pup and win prizes at the Woofstock Wag O Ween Halloween costume contest Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Original Carrollwood Park, 11430 Orange Grove Drive, Carrollwood. There will be music, lure chasing, rescue groups, arts and crafts vendors, free agility instruction, food trucks and trick-or-treating for the kids.

Spooky Soiree

Come up with an artistic costume for a Spooky Soiree with photo stations, spooky decorations, drinks and a costume contest at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, 400 N. Ashley Drive, Tampa, on Friday, Oct. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. Donations are appreciated.

Fantasma Fest

The eighth annual Fantasma Fest and Little Monster's Promenade and Pumpkin Patch will take place Saturday, Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Centro Ybor, 1600 8th Ave., in Ybor City.

Kids will choose from more than 3,000 pumpkins to decorate and show off their costumes while trick-or-treating with Ybor City merchants down 7th Avenue.

The Big Monster's Bed Race will take place down 7th Avenue from 3:30 to 6 p.m. This fun-spirited, family-friendly race has grown over the years. Spectators are encouraged to come out to cheer on their favorite team as they race at breakneck speeds and dress to impress.

Adults can stick around for the arrival of the legendary Pumpkin King for the second annual costumed march down 7th Avenue from 7 to 9 p.m.

Guppyween

The Florida Aquarium, 701 Channelside Drive, Tampa will host its annual Guppyween.
Harry Otter’s Guppyween will be located at the Codwarts School of Fishcraft and Squidery in The Florida Aquarium. Young wizards will be sorted into their Codwarts House before embarking on a quest to further their Fishcraft knowledge. All exhibits will be open, including the 4-D theater and The Splash Pad.

A Guppyween Members Night will take place Oct. 25 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The general admission Guppyween will be Oct. 26 and 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. And a Sensory Guppyween will take place Oct. 26 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Admission is $10 for kids in costume. Click here

Halloween In the Park

The Dunedin Chamber of Commerce will host Halloween in the Park Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25-26 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Honeymoon Island State Park, 1 Causeway Blvd., Dunedin.

Head to Honeymoon Island for a spooktacular evening featuring a haunted house, scary trail, a mythical-magical children's trail, games, storytelling and more. A costume contest for children 12 and under will be held each night at 7 p.m. Bring a trick-or-treat bag to collect candy prizes.

This event provides a safe alternative to trick-or-treating. There is a $10 park entrance fee per carload that includes 10 free activity tickets to use at the event.

Spooky Pooch Costume Pawty

Dog Bar St. Pete, 2300 Central Ave., St. Pete, will host its fourth annual Spooky Pooch Costume Pawty Friday, Oct. 25 from 7 to 11 p.m.

The event will benefit Maxx & Me Pet Rescue. Judging starts at 8:30 p.m. with dogs divided into small, medium and large. Each group will be judged on three categories: Best Ensemble, Funniest and Most Creative. Prizes will go to the top three in each group category.

There will also be Jell-O shots and a 50/50 raffle. DJ Fugi will be spinning the tunes and Boss Ross BBQ will provide smoked ribs. Last year there were more than 70 entries. Dog Bar St. Pete is for those 21 and up only. All dogs must be fixed and up to date on shots.

Howl-O-Ween Pet Fest And Pawrade

Green Bench Brewing, 1133 Baum Ave. N., St. Petersburg, will host its fourth annual Howl-O-Ween Pet Fest and Pawrade Saturday, Oct. 26 from noon to 4 p.m.

It will include a pet and owner costume contest with a prize of a $150 shopping spree at Pet Food Warehouse. There will also be pet adoptions, food, pet-related vendors, training tips and demonstrations and giveaways, The event is free.

Wag-O-Ween

The Madeira Beach & Gulf Beaches Rotary Club will host Wag-O-Ween Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with pet-friendly vendors, on-site animal adoptions, dog-friendly raffle prizes, food trucks, craft beer, the Madeira Beach Fire Department fire dog, Clover, a speed trap contest and live music from the St. Pete Music Factory.

There will be a dog costume contest with a $5 entry fee to benefit CASA.

Public Works BBQ Cook-Off & Rodeo

The Pinellas Park Public Works BBQ Cook-Off & Rodeo will take place Oct. 26 from noon to 10 p.m. at England Brothers Park, 5010 81st Ave. N., Pinellas Park.

It will include barbecue, bull riding, vendors, children's activities, live entertainment and beer.
All proceed will benefit local charities.

Warehouse Of Horrors

STAR Center Forensic Technology will host its third annual Warehouse of Horrors haunted house at 7975 114th Ave. N. Suite 2500, Largo, behind Raytheon on the corner of Belcher and Bryan Dairy roads.

This year, proceeds benefit The Mason Dixon Christmas Wish Fund and the Homeless Empowerment Program. The haunted house will be open Friday, Oct. 25 to Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $8 per person.

41st Annual Country Jubilee

The Pinellas County Historical Society will present its 41st annual Country Jubilee Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Heritage Village, 11909 125th St. N., Largo. Admission is a $5 suggested donation for ages 12 and older.

Heritage Village is the county’s 21-acre living history museum featuring 33 historic attractions, including historic homes, a general store, a railroad depot, two schools and a church.

The Country Jubilee will feature dozens of craft vendors, food vendors, children’s activities, such as boat-building at the McKay Creek Boat House, a Halloween costume contest and trick-or-treating from 2 to 3 p.m.

Also on tap will be the Birds of Prey from McGough Nature Park, farm animals and horticulture exhibits from Pinellas County’s Florida Farm Bureau and entertainment by bluegrass and folk artists including Evergreen, Chant the Trees, Charlie Bill & Two Wheel Ride, Charlie Morris, the Mungos and Rosewood Creek.

Knot So Scary Halloween

Knotted Roots on the Lake, 3310 Land O' Lakes Blvd., Land O' Lakes, will host a free Knot So Scary Halloween on the Lake Sunday, Oct. 17 at noon. Bring your costumed kids for a pumpkin patch photos, candy, a haunted bridal house, costume contest, prizes and snacks.

Sesame Street Safari

Don’t miss the last weekend to celebrate Sesame Street Safari of Fun Kids’ Weekends with Elmo and his furry friends Oct. 26-27.

This weekend features Rosita’s Halloween Fiesta, where guests can celebrate Rosita and her heritage, creating festive maracas and dancing along with Sesame Street characters. The fun also includes trick-or-treating, fall games and the opportunity to tune into The Not-Too-Spooky Howl-O-Ween Radio Show, a seasonal show starring Count von Count and his Sesame Street friends. Sesame Street Safari of Fun Kids’ Weekends are included with park admission tickets, Fun Card and Annual Pass products.

Also, meet Furry Bones creator Misaki Sawada at Busch Gardens Saturday, Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. The creator of the cute and creepy skeleton figurines called Furry Bones will make an appearance and signing autographs.

Stone Crab Festivals

To celebrate the kickoff of stone crab season, this weekend two favorite stone crab eateries -- Cooters Restaurant & Bar and Frenchy's Original Cafe -- will host their annual stone crab festivals.

Frenchy's at 41 Baymont St., Clearwater Beach will host its 35th annual Stone Crab Weekend Block Party Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26, featuring fresh-off-the-boat stone crab claws supplied by Frenchy's Stone Crab Co. at discounted prices along with a full slate of live music.

Cooters at 423 Poinsettia Ave. on Clearwater Beach will host its 26th annual four-day festival Oct. 24-27, featuring fresh Florida stone crab, king crab, snow crab and Dungeness crab at wholesale prices, live music on stage, and food and drink specials. Hours are 4 to 11 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Terror Tent

The Terror Tent ride will take place at the Pinellas Art Village at 5681 Park Blvd. N., Pinellas Park Oct. 25 and 26.

The three-minute motorized ride-through attraction features 1,500 square of spooky and fantasy murals, sculptures and paintings as it travels to Cove Studios, Pompei Monster Factory, the Complete Sweet Shoppe, Swartz Gallery and the Pinellas Park Art Society Gallery.

The ride runs in conjunction with the Boo-Zaar, featuring supernatural images of pop culture symbols by local artists along with belly-dancing witches and a costume contest. Click here.

Shimmering Lights

Halloween Sun-Kissed Acres has joined with Nights of Shimmering Lights to host Shimmering Lights Halloween, a self-guided, quarter-mile walking trail through dancing lights to music, outdoor movie and an expanded game room. The event will take place Thursday through Sunday at 7 p.m. through Oct. 27 and Oct. 28 to 31 at the Sun-Kissed Acres, 2302 N. Dover Road.

Fox Squirrel Corn Maze

Fox Squirrel Farm, 3002 Charlie Taylor Road, Plant City, will host its annual corn maze on Saturday and Sundays through Oct. 27, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to the maze, there will be a hay ride, games, a corn slide, a butterfly garden, horse and pony rides, dummy steer roping, cornhole games, food and a pumpkin patch.
