
Tampa Bay area residents ready for sunshine and blue skies might just see their wishes materialize this weekend.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a fairly sunny weekend ahead. We’ll have to get through Friday first to enjoy those clear skies though.
According to the weather service, Friday does bring a 40 percent chance of scattered shows in much of the region, but things start to clear out overnight. The high for Friday is expected to only reach the mid-80s with a low around 75. Here’s what the weather service says is on tap for the rest of the weekend:

Saturday
- High temperature – Upper 80s
- Low temperature – Mid-70s
- Rain chances – About a 20 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms in the late morning and afternoon hours. The evening is anticipated to be partly cloudy.
Sunday
- High temperature – Around 90
- Low temperature – Low 70s
- Rain chances – Forecasters say a mostly sunny day should be followed by a partly sunny night.
The workweek is expected to kick off on Monday with a near repeat of Sunday’s conditions. Scattered thunderstorms move back into the forecast on Tuesday.
