Tampa Bay area residents hoping for a repeat of last weekend’s weather are likely to see their wish come true, but there’s a twist. Instead of the balmy low 80s of last week, forecasters are calling for highs near 90.
According to the National Weather Service, the weekend kicks off with a sunny Friday with a high in the upper 80s. The overnight low should fall into the upper 60s in most parts of the Bay.
Saturday is expected to be a near repeat with warm, sunny conditions expected once again. Sunday will bring a return of sunshine and a high that is anticipated to reach about 90.

Rain was not a part of the forecast as of Friday morning, but with Florida being Florida, it’s never a bad idea to have umbrella handy.
Rain chances don’t creep back into the local forecast until the workweek kicks off Monday. Even so, there’s only a slight chance of storms to start the week. Those chances do begin to rise on Tuesday.
