Westshore Marina District To Welcome Multi-Sensory Cycling Studio

TAMPA, FL — Westshore Marina District developer BTI Partners has signed a 1,625-square-foot lease with New York-based Rock It Cycle to open in the 70,000-square-foot Marina Landings.

The industrial-luxe fitness studio offers immersive lighting, video and music. With no memberships or contracts, fitness fans can select from a variety of challenging, high-energy classes and performance metrics that provide real-time data for riders of all levels.

Founders Alexa Leo and Brit Leo tapped Barbara Chancey Design Group, a Dallas-based boutique fitness specialty firm, to design the studio.

“Boutique fitness is redefining the health and wellness industry,” says Chancey. "Unlike traditional gyms, boutiques are community-oriented and offer a higher level of customer service, instruction and personal attention. Philanthropy is part of the Rock It culture, and the studio is designed to host charitable events to support local nonprofits and promote the healthy benefits of movement and music.”

Recommended for all ages and abilities, indoor cycling is a low-impact, high cardio exercise where participants control their own speed and resistance on patented, stationary bikes. While the physical benefits are numerous, the social component of group indoor cycling classes has an impact on overall mood and stress levels and pays dividends beyond exercising alone.

BTI Partners, a real estate development and land investment firm, is the developer behind the 52-acre Westshore Marina District. Located off Westshore and Gandy boulevards on Old Tampa Bay, the district overlooks one of the largest yacht basins on Tampa Bay.

Since May, Cru Cellars, Sand Surf Co., Crave Spa, Salon Color Bar and Duckweed Urban Grocery have already opened their doors in Marina Landings. Chuck Lager America’s Tavern, Buzzed Bull Creamery and DRNK coffee + tea and QWENCH juice bar are set to open in the coming months.

The award-winning Westshore Marina District is also home to luxury condos, waterfront walking trails and parks, a marina on a 13-acre deep-water basin, and floating docks featuring a 150-slip full-service marina to accommodate vessels from 40 feet in length to more than 100 feet.

BTI Partners is currently building Marina Pointe, a luxury condominium development with three high-rises and a marina in the heart of Westshore Marina District. Marina Pointe’s first tower will consist of 120 condominium residences to be completed in mid-2022. The condos, designed by renowned architect Koby Karp, are priced from the low $800,000s to more than $3 million.

Once BTI Partners’ development and neighboring residential projects are completed, the area will have nearly 2,400 new residences.
