What Are You Doing on the Longest Day of the Year?
Today is the summer solstice! What will you do with your extra daylight?

Do you have any special plans for the summer solstice?
This year the summer solstice is on June 20. The date varies depending on when the sun reaches its farthest point north of the equator. The word solstice comes from the Latin words sol (sun) and stitium (to stop), because the sun appears to stop at this time of year, according the Old Farmer's Almanac.
