Grab those umbrellas and keep an eye on the weather, more rain is on the way to the Tampa Bay area.
Monday kicks off with a 70 percent chance of rain during the daytime and evening hours. A flood watch remains in effect for the entire region through 8 p.m. Monday. The watch includes Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Sarasota and Manatee counties, among others.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service say between 2 and 4 inches of rain is likely to fall with locally higher amounts in some areas. Monday’s rains are due in part to the remnants of Tropical Storm Erika passing by the region. On the upside, the rain should keep temperatures down. The high Monday is expected to reach the upper 80s while the low will fall into the low 70s in much of the Bay area.
