
TAMPA, FL – A 27-year-old Tampa woman faces a number of charges after a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputy caught her going south on Interstate 75’s northbound lanes.
According to the sheriff’s office, the agency received a call about the wrong-way driver around 2:51 a.m. Friday. A deputy caught up with the driver and pulled her over. The motorist, an email from the agency said, showed signs of impairment.
Nicole Estevez was ultimately charged with possession of cannabis, DUI (second offense), driving on a suspended license and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also cited for driving on the wrong side of a divided highway.
