Zipline Event Coming to Downtown Tampa

The one-day event will enable people to soar above Franklin Street.

Thrill seekers who want to take adventure to a whole new level are invited to attend a first-ever zipline event in downtown Tampa next week.

FitLife Foods has announced it is celebrating its brand’s expansion with a one-day event that will enable participants to soar above Franklin Street. The 100-yard ziplines will be set 25 feet in the air during the Oct. 9 event. In addition, participants will also find a massive rock wall on site for their climbing pleasure.

The cost is play is $10 for the zipline or rock wall. A combo price that allows a turn on both is $15. Participants can get tickets in advance on the FitLife Foods website.

In addition to the high adventure attractions, attendees will find giveaways and other activities planned. The person who pulls off the fastest zip run will win a prize, as well.

The event is set to take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9.

FitLife Foods provides pre-made meals that are designed with balance in mind. The company offers selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner and also serves up snacks, as well. The business launched in 2011 with a South Tampa store, but has added a South Howard and downtown location since then. The downtown store is at 101 E. Kennedy Blvd.

Proceeds from the zipline event will go to JDRF, an organization that’s striving to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
