4th Street Lanes Closing for Construction

The contractor on the Gandy Boulevard Project needs to close a few lanes over the upcoming weekend.

St. Petersburg, FL — Motorists who travel through the St. Petersburg area may run into a few delays along 4th Street this weekend.

According to the Florida Department of Transportation, the contractor on the Gandy Boulevard Project plans to do drainage work on southbound 4th Street from south of Gandy Boulevard to Koger Boulevard over the weekend.

In order to maintain traffic as the work is under way, the contractor plans to keep one lane on southbound 4th Street, between Gandy Boulevard and Koger Boulevard, open all weekend. The work is set to start at 10:30 p.m. Friday and will continue “around-the-clock” until Monday, July 11 at 6 a.m., FDOT reported in an email to media.
