ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Kendric Dennard Stephens, 37, was arrested in connection with an early Monday morning hit-and-run crash that damaged a house and car on 14th Avenue S., and set both on fire, St. Petersburg police said in a news release.
Stephens was charged with leaving the scene of a crash causing property damage, violation of probation, and driving while a license was suspended, canceled, or revoked.
He’s accused of driving a Honda Accord into the home around 3 a.m.
The car, though initially reported stolen, was borrowed from a family member, investigators said.
Video shows him crashing into the building and walking away from the scene on foot, police said.
The house suffered significant structural damage in the crash.
