Man Who Drove Stolen Car Into St. Pete Home Sought By Police
Investigators are asking for help in identifying a man who drove a stolen car into a St. Petersburg home and walked away from the scene.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL β Investigators are asking for public assistance in identifying a man who drove a stolen Honda Accord into a house on 14th Avenue S. early Monday morning and walked away from the crash, St. Petersburg police said in a news release. The house, which suffered significant structural damage, caught fire in the 3 a.m. crash, police said. The car parked in the driveway was also damaged.
The hit-and-run driver, who hasnβt been identified, left the scene on foot.

The vehicle was stolen sometime overnight from the 2100 block of 9th Avenue S., police said.
Anyone with information about the driverβs identity is asked to contact St. Pete police by calling 727-893-7780 or texting βSPPDβ and the tip to TIP411.
