Man Arrested For $96K Vandalism Of Luxury Condo Building: St. Pete Police

One of two suspects accused of vandalizing a downtown St. Pete luxury condo building, causing $96K in damages, was arrested, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — One of two suspects accused of vandalizing a downtown St. Petersburg luxury condo building earlier this month, causing $96,000 in damages, was arrested Saturday, authorities said.

Andrew O’Neill, 34, of St. Petersburg was charged with criminal mischief greater than $1,000 for vandalizing the Residences at 400 Central Avenue the night of July 11, according to his arrest affidavit.

A second suspect is still at large, St. Petersburg police said.

The two men vandalized the luxury condo building around 11:30 p.m. The damage included 14 landscaping lights that were torn up and cost $1,500 to replace.

They also damaged three large windows that cost about $25,000 apiece, the affidavit said.

The incident was caught on video.
