Arrest Made in Murder-By-Car Case
St. Petersburg Police say the suspect in a June murder turned himself in over the weekend.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 38-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a June 20 death. St. Petersburg Police say the murder weapon was a car.
According to police, Taurus Randall Frederick of St. Petersburg walked into the agency’s headquarters around 10 a.m. Saturday and turned himself into authorities. Frederick was wanted in connection with the June 20 death of Jeron Anthony Davis.
Police say Frederick and Davis got into an argument around 1 p.m. on June 20 in the area of 22nd Avenue South and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street. Frederick is accused of following Davis in a car, running him over and then abandoning the vehicle.

Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
A warrant for Frederick’s arrest was issued on June 23, but he eluded capture until Saturday.

Frederick was being held in the Pinellas County Jail Monday without bond.
