Boca Royale Golf & Country Club scores a new golf pro

Boca Royale Golf & Country Club, a semi-private club in a 1,000-acre gated, master-planned Englewood community by the locally owned and operated Neal Communities (NealCommunities.com), recently hired Edward McConnell as its head golf professional.

With 30 years of experience covering a range of capacities, McConnell will be responsible for upgrading the golf experience at Boca Royale Golf & Country Club. In his new role, he will develop member and non member tournament schedules with traditional and creative formats, play and interact with the club’s golfing members, teach the game of golf, manage the golf department and merchandise the golf shop to maximize its offerings.

Prior to joining Boca Royale Golf & Country Club, McConnell worked with prominent golf clubs, including The Founders Club, Sunset Ridge Country Club, Piper’s Landing Country Club and Moss Creek Plantation.

The continual course improvements include the installation of Champion Grass greens this summer, as part of the Club’s program of United States Golf Association’s (USGA) best practices. This re-grassing of the greens will extend championship conditions throughout the year, particularly during the cooler temperatures of its high season.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Boca Royale Golf & Country Club is a semi-private golf facility. Its elegant clubhouse offers casual and fine dining and a wide range of social activities for resident and non-resident members.
