Body Found In Water Near St. Pete Boat Ramp: Police
A body found in the water near a south St. Petersburg boat ramp is being investigated as a possible suicide, police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL β A body was found in the water near a St. Petersburg boat ramp on Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Officers responded to the 3700 to 3800 blocks of 6th Street South, near the Grandview Boat Ramp, where the body was discovered, St. Petersburg police said.
Based on a preliminary investigation, the body is believed to be that of a 66-year-old man who was reported missing on Monday around 9 p.m.

The death investigation, in its early stages, is being investigated as a possible suicide, police said.
The Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause of death.
