Bridging Freedom sets $20,000 fundraising goal for Give Day Tampa Bay

TAMPA, Fla. (April 28, 2015) -- Bridging Freedom, the local nonprofit organization leading the charge to construct Florida’s first-ever comprehensive therapeutic safe-home campus community for children traumatized by sex trafficking, is proud to participate again this year on Give Day Tampa Bay to raise money and continue to raise awareness for its mission during the 24-hour community challenge on May 5th, 2015.

Give Day Tampa Bay is a one-day online giving event led by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and the Florida Next Foundation to raise support for local nonprofits and grow philanthropy in our region. It is a community-wide challenge to show off Tampa Bay’s spirit of giving, raise awareness about local nonprofits and celebrate the collective effort of our region.

“Bridging Freedom set a goal to raise $20,000 in donations during the 24-hour community giving event. We have made significant strides over the past year in bringing the community together to build a safe-home campus for children who so desperately need the services they deserve,” said Laura Hamilton, President of Bridging Freedom. “Every dollar counts and partnering with Give Day Tampa Bay gives us the opportunity to continue making progress in our goals to restore stolen childhoods.”

Give Day Tampa Bay is a one-day online giving challenge on May 5, 2015 led by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and the Florida Next Foundation to raise support for local nonprofits and grow philanthropy in our region. It is a community-wide event to show off Tampa Bay’s spirit of giving, raise awareness about local nonprofits, and celebrate the collective effort of our region.The inaugural Give Day Tampa Bay in 2014 raised $1.1 million, and HRH raised $15,820 and placed 5th in overall donors out of 384 nonprofits spanning 4 counties!
