Coastal Orthopedics' pain specialist instructs course at International Spine Intervention Society annual meeting

Coastal Orthopedics Sports Medicine and Pain Management’s (CoastalOrthopedics.com) interventional pain specialist, Dr. Richard H. Bundschu, just returned from teaching a Neurostimulation bio-skills course at the International Spine Intervention Society’s 23rd Annual Scientific Meeting in Las Vegas.

The annual scientific meeting is the premier forum for physicians to learn from leaders in the field of interventional pain management.

“It was an honor to teach this important course at such an esteemed gathering of physicians,” said Dr. Bundschu. “The physicians returned home with the skills they need to better serve their patients.

Dr. Bundschu and a team of leading pain management physicians shared their knowledge of neurostimulation with physicians who perform spine intervention procedures. The rigorous lab included lectures and hands-on bio-skills training on the topics of surgical techniques, trends in neurostimulation and strategies for positioning.

Dr. Bundschu has been a master instructor for the International Spine Intervention Society since 2001. He is proficient with spinal injections, facet injections, radio-frequency vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty and implantable spinal cord stimulators.

He received his doctor of medicine from the University of Miami, where he also completed a residency in anesthesia and a fellowship in pain management. Dr. Bundschu maintains board certifications with the American Board of Anesthesiology, the American Board of Pain Medicine, the American Board of Pain Management and the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians.
