Four Boca Ciega High School students were taken to Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital as a precaution following the appearance of drug-laced gummie candies on the Gulfport campus Monday. According to Pinellas County Schools, a student brought the candy in Monday and passed pieces around.

Arrest Made In Plant City Gas Station Homicide

The Plant City Police Department has announced the arrest of a 19-year-old man in connection with an attempted armed robbery and homicide at a gas station last week. According to the agency, Michael Joseph Beson, 67, of Standish, Mich., was pumping gas at the 2010 N. Wheeler St. Mobile station on Friday around 8:20 p.m. when an armed robbery attempt occurred.

$40 Million Deal Struck By Yankees, Tampa Sports Authority

The Tampa Sports Authority announced Monday that it has reached a tentative agreement that would keep the team in town through 2046, provided more than $40 million in renovations are made to George M.
